Great Opportunity!

Pros

Ever since I've started, I've really enjoyed having the opportunity to work from home. The flexibility of being able to complete work without having to worry about a commute or distractions from an in person setting have been really helpful for my productivity. This job has also been some of the best benefits I've had in the healthcare field. I think Expressable really makes an effort to be innovative and to grow as a company. One of the things I've appreciated is that when concerns are made, there's an active plan to resolve the concern. Engagement surveys allow the opportunity to note where you feel the company falls short and then those concerns are met with action plans to support therapists and the company as a whole.

Cons

For some, this setting may be challenging as it is fast paced and there's a lot of responsibility to independently keep up with product updates that come with working for a start-up. Being tech savvy is necessary at this company. Expressable is also still getting it's footing with streamlining insurance processes and communication with clients from the admin side. This can be frustrating at times as being the therapist leaves you somewhere in the middle. You really have to outweigh your pro's and con's. Some days are pretty packed with clients, but I've found it a lot easier to manage from home than in-clinic where it was more challenging to time transitions between pediatric clients.

Pros

Excellent support from management, leadership actually listens to you and makes changes based on SLP feedback, no harsh/unrealistic productivity requirement, great culture and team support, provides CEUs each month

Cons

WFH can feel isolating at times, they make a lot of changes pretty fast and regular, but overall no major cons. Hands down the best company I've worked for.

Pros

Technology advancements, sometimes quick adjustments to workflows, good communication from leadership about vision

Cons

Too much change and often without planning for challenges; big picture thinking often affects the day-to-day
