      I came to Extra Space Storage from a 29 year background in retail management as a District Manager , Regional Manager. I had no ideal what this industry was going to be like. When I found out that I was off on Sundays and closed at 6 pm I thought this is like no other retail that I have worked! And I was right, been with Extra Space 2 years now and enjoy working for my District Manager and the management team that I have been blessed with on visits to my locations. They all are real Team players that help guide you through the different aspects of the industry. I don't like idle time and there is always something that I can do to improve my property and find ways to better serve my customers needs. Its been a great ride so far!

      Pros

      I have been employed with Extra Space for 6 1/2 years and I am very pleased and satisfied. Management is superior and really cares about the employees. Great hours and good people. Room for advancement!

      Cons

      As all positions with customer service there can be some challenging situations but Management has your back and no unreal expectations.

      Working alone, No work on Sunday, Team atmosphere, Flexibility

      Cons

      Cleaning toilets, Units, Hallways, Parking lots. No OT, Not much double coverage. Working on the weekends.
