      Pros

      Extra Space is a fast paced, challenging work environment. I love the fact you can stay challenged and the job doesn't get boring. There are opportunities to advance. Since the company is always growing, there are many opportunities for process improvement and growth.

      Cons

      Occasionally there are growing pains. But they are usually worked through pretty quickly.

      Running your own office. Helping customers in need. Great hours. Great management. Bonus are great. Pay is great. Upper management always has your back.

      Cons

      Winter weather Ice and snow suck if you have an outdoor property. Auctions are sad, but it's something that has to happen.

      Career building accomplishments, a great team work environment and a very satisfying company to work for. Being relocatable will help you "move up the ladder" fairly fast. One of the things that I appreciate the most with Extra Space Storage is how much they care about their employees and the product that we provide to our customers. The day to day operations as a Store Employee gives you the flexibility to be your own boss, which leaves you completely stress free at the end of the day. You can plan your day accordingly, and each day accomplish set tasks. This company pays great attention to detail to the whole process of what we do as employees at ESS. There is always someone willing to help or someone to answer any of your questions.

      Cons

      There are constant changes to improve our day to day operations. So, if you have trouble adapting to new systems, policies and procedures; then this company might be difficult for you. The benefits can be a little expensive, but they offer a premium healthcare product.
