Pros

This company is amazing! They go above and beyond for their employees. Giving everyone the same opportunity for success. They work hard for us and as an employee, I am confident in the business and what we do. I would stand behind this company 100% as I feel they would do the same for me. This is a family environment. We stick together. I know that whenever we hire, I will be telling all of my family and friends to apply! They pay top dollar even though I work at a call center- Not very many people get paid what I do.

Cons

The benefits! No so much the benefits but the cost of the benefits. They are outrageous!

Pros

From a high level Extra Space values its employees. The company is continuing to grow, with executive management focused on providing a quality product in storage through high quality properties. There is a feeling of camaraderie and family within the company which makes it a nice place to come to.

Cons

Pay could be better, but it is pretty competitive relative to the level of work expected for the positions within the company. There is some disconnect in certain areas where the compensation seems higher that appropriate while other positions should be at a higher pay level. Recognition in all departments is not at the same level, so it can be sometimes difficult to feel you are making a difference. Benefits are not great relative to their high cost.

Pros

Work-life balance, competitive pay, incentives, recognition, benefits. I have been able to work my way into multiple positions. The company recognizes talent and skill-sets and helps to hone and improve those skills. Nothing in life is handed to you but if you are willing to work hard and take the steps to improve then this company will back you up 100%.

Cons

I have been with Extra Space for almost 7 years and they continue to improve with each area of the company. I cannot think of a negative thing to say or an area of improvement.
