      Pros

      You feel like an independent Operator ( Site ) you are given all the tools for success , Renting units is only part of the job description here , there is always a support team to assist you when you need it .

      Cons

      No " Cons " here but you can anticipate running the site yourself on most days ( renting, cleaning , calling , troubleshooting , cleaning lavatory , cleaning property as needed .

      Pros

      Most store manager positions come with nice apartments (mine is a gorgeous 2br 1ba with appliances and a 2nd story balcony). While you are working towards that, this is still a great job! Most stores get Sundays off close at 6pm most nights, early on Saturday. We have a huge amount of autonomy in our roles, and the customers are nice (for the most part, this is still customer service after all). I like that every day is a little different and you aren't stuck in an office, you are outside cleaning and managing your property, as well.

      Cons

      The downsides of storage are definitely break-ins, possible pest issues, leaks, etc and having to have those hard conversations with customers. Also when their rates go up people come in very upset, but we do have some power of negotiation to help retain their business.
