Great Culture, Very Inclusive / Pay is subpar, Scheduling needs improvement
Pros
Pro’s: * Staff and Upper management are attentive and loyal. Communication is great. * Culture is diverse and inclusive * Training available * Great benefits, 401k with employer match, good daily hours
Cons
Cons: * Pay does not meet expectations. Store level employees wear a lot of hats from maintenance, vendor relations, advertising, inventory management and sales. Monthly metric requirements. Many full time store employees with 5+ yrs in still qualify for government assistance. * Advancement opportunities are slim unless you are willing to relocate. * Scheduling - get ready for a ton of weekly tasks with “maybe” one day of assistance , the rest you are on your own. And surprise, sometimes you get your next week’s schedule on Friday right before close or even Saturday. * PTO is cumulative and a decent amount, but good luck taking it during the last half of the year. If you have kids or family get ready to choose one holiday between August and December and you *might* get approved. And only 4 paid holidays a year.
