Pros

Enthusiastic, competent, dedicated field Sales ( AE) and Technical (SE) personnel

Cons

Executive leadership is completely clueless. To many high- level execs act like Extreme is Cisco, and refuse to master the detail required to fundamentally understand how to position Extreme to succeed within this piece of the networking landscape. Instead there is the annual "realignment" in sales, which results in layoffs, restructuring and that ultimately, drives out the top performing AE's. One specific executive ( CRO ) makes decisions without understanding or caring about their impact. Consequently quotas are unrealistic, field turnover is high and morale is abysmal. He has played a significant role in destroying both the culture and spirit of this company.

Pros

The people. Nothing else that comes to mind.

Cons

- Acquisitions of dying technology. Acquiring 2 wireless vendors doesn't help. - Me too strategy as the company tries to copy Cisco - Looks for growth but only has a short term view

Pros

ESPP program great so long as you cash out on sale day Annual Bonus Quarterly celebrations of various sizes working from home is allowed in bad weather great company for marketing or finance.

Cons

Executive management is driven by bottom line company, it does not appear to be transparent or open, it is driven by short term results , the next three months. Management is not reluctant to reduce workforce, seems to be a six month cycle.
