Pros

Great atmosphere, always challenging your abilities to prove your ethics and creativity. Extra Money with monthly creative contests is always great. Defintely feel much better than working the last 5yrs at Visionworks.

Cons

Health insurance isnt the best.. You would have to pay high dollar when the doc bills you... My suggestion do everything in your power not to get sick.

Pros

Free glasses every year. But you work hard for them. And the company is putting restrictions on what employees can get for free. Because thet don't think we work hard enough for it.

Cons

Very sexist. Only promote men. Also it is the most stressful place to work. You have to multitask 24/7 when other optical jobs pay way more for way less stress. Also customers treat you like poo because eyemarts target audience is white trash america so they don't know what respect is. Do not work here unless you want to be yelled at by customers and management everyday.

Pros

The hours are better than most retail opticals, but still not great. They're fitting the on-site labs with nice equipment and for the most part, their lens inventory is of decent quality.

Cons

Where to start. First, the promises of profit sharing for management. One look at your new store's P&L and you'll soon figure out that's the first promise broken. Oh wait, the very fact your took this job at WAY below average salary should have been that first broken promise - but then you did take the job, so I guess that might be a bit much to assume. And those doctors next door - they paid little or nothing for that gig - it's pure turnkey and the entire setup is there to ensure the doctor is happy. But for god's sake, don't get on the wrong side of your doctor - that might be his office and the retail space is yours, but don't delude yourself and think the doctor doesn't have a direct line to your DM or RVP. And if the doctor doesn't like you, say bye bye birdie.
