Pros

great first job, great experience to gather that ends up being applicable across multiple industries. would recommend to anyone coming out of school

Cons

not much room for growth, lots of competition, bonuses are not great, thought training could be a little more extensive

Cons

READ THIS IF YOU'RE APPLYING TO SOLUTIONS! They burn out 'Workhorses' and promote 'Generals'. Workhorses are what make Eze money. They are smart, skilled, very hardworking, and good at what they do. They can find jobs elsewhere if needed because they're not lazy. Workhorses become burn outs after 1 year and are tricked into staying another 1-2 years because they're told they'll be promoted soon, and earn a bonus (actually only 2% per year). They're told being a good employee will get them promoted. After 2-3 years, they burn out, and most find a job somewhere else. They stay earning only 50-60k until they leave. 'Generals' are the managers who squeeze out the work from the workhorses. They're not smart, are insecure, and know that they can only succeed at Eze and not other companies so they protect each other. You become a General if you're cool, loyal and can command respect from the workhorses who listen to them. You have a chance at being promoted to General (Associate Director, Director, and up) after 3-4 few years. Managers have to be sure you're a 'lifer', and are drinking the Kool-Aid. That means smoking and drinking with the managers at the annual golf event, being funny in the office etc. There are about 50 analysts (95% workhorses), and about 25 Generals who all make 120k for Associate Director up to 250k for Directors. Their only job is to keep the workhorses working hard for the 200+ hedge funds. Generals generally don't do much and are quiet at work because they're not actually doing anything and don't want to be noticed. It's easy to tell who is who by walking around the office. Workhorses are stressed and busy with work on their screens and are taking calls, cases (which are monitored and tracked), and generals are pretending to work, padding their stats, booking meetings to appear busy where they make up projects that never work, and try to appease the workers with free soda, fruit and jokes that are funny if you're 18 in a frat.
