      Pros

      Overall great company with great people and technology.

      Cons

      On product side, F5 is struggling with its cloud story. F5 has always built and sold hardware. Cloud is very different and is a threat and a challenge to F5. F5 is also not leveraging existing technology/products well. It needs to create new products/brands out of existing ones and advertise them. On technical side, F5 has great technology, but it's not a strong engineering company.

      Pros

      Great pay, great benefits, and great products. F5 has fun events for the employees. Good work/life balance depending on the role/department your in. Good company culture, although it changed with the new leadership, but will helpfully go back with the current transition.

      Cons

      The company makes products to work remote, but doesn't allow much telecommuting. Not much flexibility with work hours. Not a lot of growth opportunities within internal promotions and the pay increase is very limited if you're promoted from within vs being an external hire.

      Pros

      -cool technology in an industry that is going through some massive changes -big future in shaping the next generation products -solid engineering discipline and approach to problems -lots of smart people

      Cons

      -some technical debt that must be paid, and the core platform feels a bit fragmented -VP level folks seem to be a bit disconnected -complexity in the product can be a bit daunting, but there is where I think there is an opportunity to make a huge difference
