Pros

F5 treats everyone as an adult and proactively rewards contributors. You can count on working on the cutting edge of any and all technologies in the application delivery space. Compensation is excellent and industry leading.

Cons

The pace of growth can be a challenge if you aren't prepared for it, otherwise it's an opportunity, as always.

Pros

Great pay and benefits. Hands off managers that keep you challenged. Great state-of-the-art products and a company with a vision. They are a global company with many opportunities for employment and professional growth.

Cons

I worked support for many years, it's fast paced, must be able to multi-task and change direction on a dime. Very high stress environment and workload is endless. Hi burn out rate. Supports a good place to get your hands-wet and learn the product. It's just a jump platform to get into other areas of the company. IE Consulting, Field Service, Systems Engineer. Lots of opportunity within F5 Networks. Traffic in the Puget Sound is very dense. If you live outside of Seattle in the suburbs, be prepared for a commute.

Still a solid company, and growing, but facing challenges on execution

Pros

Good management team at home office and Regional management is strong on the sales side. Strong core technologies and good foundation to add other security and network elements that should make for easier cross sell and up sell. Good benefits and corporate culture.

Cons

Overall marketing strategy is a bit muddled. Trying to be a security company without putting enough effort into that space to instantiate that claim despite the strength of the products (in addition to core abilities for its load balancers). Products are solid, but support on some of the core products are not where they should be for a company this mature. Sales growth, or desire to maintain it, causes changes in regional positions and inside sales efforts and focus is in need of fixing and overhaul. Pro services team is strong but understaffed and stretched. Channel program is good, but could use some tweaking on details.
