Company is a Disaster

Pros

Good Benefits and very high salaries

Cons

When FHI merged with AED the two companies broke each other. High indirect rate that does not support projects. Projects do all the work and the rest of the company pays itself high salaries and only works on new business development to keep the high salaries of senior staff and over priced office buildings. The regional offices are filled with high salaried ex-pat staff that have enormous amounts of benefits that charge projects but don't contribute to any of the project work. USAID should audit this company for charging the US government tax payer for salaries for work that is not related to projects as well as high indirect rates that don't support projects.

Pros

Location in Dupont is nice.

Cons

So many cons. Upper management either doesn't care or doesn't notice that many of the managers do no work, leave early and offer no value to the team. Lower level positions are sold to the applicant as being substantive but are just administrative positions.

Difficult times

Pros

Good Field work and Resources

Cons

Extremely problematic and poor leadership. As a result, the org lost high caliber staff, especially after the merger and within business development division. Difficult to forge new partnerships with FHI360. It tends to overinflate its capabilities and work in every sector. Multiple directors, presidents, and other senior management that have been around for decades, which make the organization top heavy and expensive.
