      Overall the staff is very friendly; pay is mediocre but healthcare/parking/transportation/403b (retirement) benefits are acceptable

      Very unorganized; internal communication significantly lacking; not a lot of room for growth and advancement and no clear path for doing so; program officers are treated as admin (secretaries and even personal assistants); work is repetitive and mindless of nature; job descriptions are so vague that it puts one in a position to have no boundaries with their job role; No professional development opportunities or educational assistance plans

      The message FHI puts out is good. To help people.

      Cons

      "Used" to be focused on enpowerig services and research in the field. Sr Management has no idea of what happens under them "Technology" was thought of as a tool. Implemented out a global network allowing project/program offices/site integration of IT systems (email, collaboration, telephony) with corporate offices. HR is a joke. Sr. IT manamgent is focused on cutting budgets, not keeping talent, outsourcing. Duct Tape and Bailing wire to keep systems running.
