Thank you for letting us know of your experience. We truly value our employees and their experiences at the Bank. We have five Guiding Principles in place that we exemplify and integrate within our work, which also directs how we interact with others. This contributes to a supportive and inclusive work environment and promotes teamwork. Given we tend to hire extremely talented employees, that does sometimes translate to us all having high expectations for ourselves as we all want to do our best to ensure the success of the organization.

Pros

The pros are that the job allows a flexible hybrid schedule with great pay and benefits. Sick time, Loan Assistance, Insurance, etc.

Cons

The downsides are that the management and culture are lacking. There is very little communication, training, and organization. It is also highly regulated so any mess up is a big one.

Thank you for your comments. We appreciate your feedback regarding our Total Rewards, which we continuously evaluate. However, we are always looking to improve in areas where there's opportunity. We are a regulated entity which comes with its own expectations and requirements; however, it also helps ensure we are a safe and sound organization, resulting in a stable environment for our employees and our members. We strive to communicate with employees as much as possible and that has increased over the years with our bankwide intranet page, weekly news digests, monthly staff meetings led by our President/CEO in partnership with senior management and period HR/DEI News updates. Regarding training, we have a dedicated training and development budget for both technical and soft skills, which is set based on input from management across the bank reflecting the current and future needs of the bank and our employees. An FHLBank Indianapolis employee would be happy to speak with you regarding any concerns or challenges you have. Please contact your manager, your HR Business Partner or another trusted leader in the organization to discuss how we can assist.
