Pros

Large, growing company with a global presence. Average benefits package

Cons

FIS offers below average pay increases for the technical staff in the U.S., although there may be isolated pockets where it is better. Continuing trend to take employment to wherever labor is cheapest. The tools and desktop computers for technical staff are often underpowered and crippled with poorly managed security software. The quality and quantity of coding tools are inadequate. The legacy of a company growing by acquisition is that trying to coordinate activities or find assistance is byzantine at best. Add to that layers of conflicting paperwork that would make the U.S government cringe.

Pros

Global company with many different opportunities to work on very large scale development projects with bright developers around the world.

Cons

Each site and team is different, but people seem to be treated as faceless resources with very little humanity. Officially hired on for 40-hour work weeks and then told that "this is not a 40-hour a week job", with at least 45+ hours/week expected.
