Pros

Excellent starting vacation, holiday and sick time off. Flexibility with scheduling time off within departments. Better than average health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k and stock options. Additional benefits available. Coworkers and work environment are both great. FIS cares about the community and its employees - this is seen through several company sponsored programs and events. FIS encourages growth within the company and works to retain talented employees.

Cons

Computer issues occur frequently and can take several days/ weeks to resolve depending on the issue. For a technology company this is somewhat surprising.

Pros

Some really good people work there.

Cons

Decisions are made at the top management and passed down through multiple layers of management, which need to be clarified for the job, the employees, the clients, and the bottom line. However, there is no way to reach anyone, and if you do, they are so far removed they don't care. Example: HR required that reviews for every department had a % of failing at the job, below average, average, only a few above average, and no one was allowed to get the top rating ( so why have it ).

Pros

Was promoted to Fraud Implementations from the call centers after two years climbing up. The boss and co-workers were nice enough. Completely remote. Atmosphere was pretty corporate but I didn't have anyone over my shoulder. Pay was pretty good at 60k. This was after making 40k so the jump was huge for me.

Cons

Was laid off only after 11 months on the job. Never was disciplined or written up. Never was put on a PIP. I tired to engage with the team as much as possible despite being remote and show interest in handling all of the different lines of business. Most of the team was in another state together. I'm pretty sure I was only brought on to handle pandemic related demand and then turned and burned I'm now realizing. This was after my boss said there was gonna be no layoffs two months before i was let go. This was my first real salary position. I tired to engage as much as possible because most of the team was in another state. I performed fine in the job. Never trust a inhuman stock owned corporation to look out for your best interests or continue to give you employment even when you're meeting metrics. Don't join this company for long if you have to and don't trust everything management says to you.
