Pros

If you're attempting to get your foot in the door in a particular career field, and FIS is the only offer....take it, learn, gain some experiance......and then move on to a better, more reputable company (before FIS beats you to it and releases you as part of one of their many "reductions in force").

Cons

Too many reorganizations, too divisional, seems to focused on short term instead of long-term success. Employees are generally not treated very well. No sense of stability with all of the reorgs. I have reported to 5 different individuals over the last 6 months. Every time a project is approved...it's put on hold as you're reporting to someone different or another reorg is occurring, etc. They really have no interest in security or safety when it comes to their employees and/or customer data. The only focus for them is to pass audits so that business can go on as usual, even if it means intentionally misleading auditors and ignoring issues that are brought to their attention that are not in compliance. Their philosophy seems to be....wait until we get caught, argue compensating controls....and if the world comes to an end, then we'll address it.

Pros

Fiserv isn't hiring in this area. You won't have time to spend the salary you make because they expect you to work whatever hours they choose and those can change at a moments notice. The stress placed on employees is a great way to lose weight, I have personally lost up to 40 pounds in a year.

Cons

Management is dishonest. When you are able to prove that they have made a mistake they will try to place the blame on someone else. The business environment is manage by intimidation and employees are constantly threatened with "disciplinary action up to and including termination". Harassment complaints are not investigated. Employees are routinely called on vacation days and although the company policy is to give those days back, you have to fight to get them. New employees are routinely hired in at more than current employees salary.
