Pros

Might get chance to know about financial stuff.

Cons

Worked when it was WorldPay to acquired by FIS Bad work culture. Micro managed. Unqualified and kiss-ass managers. Bad and mismanaged infrastructure. Not a place to grow and develop. Seen lot of co workers leaving within a year. Seen something going on in production and during deployment which would take all day and night.

Pros

Entrepreneurial. Exposure to diverse global work teams. Most people are good to work with.

Cons

Massive org changes several times a year (for as many years as I can remember) with little transparency into decision-making, makes longer-term strategy nearly impossible. Achieving any kind of stability or good operational standards feels like a promise that's never kept. What can be optimized that does not last? Over time one may begin to suspect best practices and processes aren't a serious goal as the company is consistently growing by acquisition and refusing to properly resource critical parts of the organization that cannot properly scale. As a people leader it becomes harder and harder to motivate your directs. Your most talent directs become demoralized or recognize the dysfunction and leave. The lifers survive because they get shuffled around the organization and too often lack expertise in their roles. This further reduces your effective headcount as a manager. So frustrating.

Thank you for taking the time to review us. As you mentioned, FIS continues to grow and develop through a mix of organic growth and acquisitions, and sometimes that requires change across various aspects of the organization, including reorganization in business units. You identified yourself as a current colleague, so we encourage you to report any of your stated concerns through your manager, a member of the People Office or FIS Ethics Hotline.
