Pros

They pay fairly close to market

Cons

Managers are horrible, they manage by bullying their team members. If you don't know something, like their homegrown systems you do not get any proper training because it seems like no one really knows all the ins and outs. Management expects you to learn as you go, which is fine in some situations but if you ask too many questions you are punished. So you just work, try your best, make things up - because asking for help is frowned upon. I have never ever in my career seen this. Human Resources does not protect employees, they get so much negative feedback about managers yet do nothing. There is no semblance of a team or working together to exchange knowledge. If i didn't need a paycheck i would be gone. But i am looking, just like most people i speak to here.

Pros

- Mature company - Diverse but only because of continued investment in offshore resources - Good Experience

Cons

- EXTREMELY bureaucratic - CEO profits off of mounds of stock only two months before no 2020 merit increases or bonuses are being distributed - no bonuses for anyone outside of leadership - Post-pandemic salary discussions and information were very shady and lacked transparency - Acquire companies only to ruin their exiting culture and scare away even the most loyal talent.

Pros

-Work from home -Most teams are great to work with

Cons

-No Merit increases for 2020 because of financial reasons, although the Board voted to increase stock dividends and start a share buyback program just two months ago. -No bonuses for 2020, instead they decided to give out company stock to a select group of people that can be redeemed in August 2022 if you're still with the company at that time. -Mandatory 10% pay cut for contractors started January 2021. -Got rid of $3k yearly employee scholarship program that was available to yourself and children. -Got rid of $500 yearly charity match. -Constant reorgs of the company because it's been glued together from 40+ previous acquisitions. -Reduced the 401k company match from 1 to 1 on 5% to a 1 to .5 match on 6%.

Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate the time you have taken to write your review and are happy to hear that you appreciate the work from home policies at FIS. As you know, 2020 was an unprecedented year for the world and for FIS. We unexpectedly and quickly pivoted in several areas to ensure we were laser-focused on what’s important, and that is our colleagues, clients, and communities. This included investments in new health and safety protocols throughout the organization and new wellness programs, including COVID-19 time off and enhanced medical, well-being, and mental health resources. With that being said, FIS is not immune from the financial impact the pandemic has had on businesses globally. As a result, we are facing an unusual compensation year for 2021. We also encourage you to report any of your other stated concerns through your manager, a member of the People Office, or the FIS Ethics Hotline.
