Pros
Corporate allows managers to run accounts as your own business- as long as you meet budgets, and submit needed reports, you are allowed to do whatever is best for your client. Food quality is amazing- Managed order guides prevent ordering low quality meats, and virtually no frozen vegetables are allowed in unit. Work Life balance is as good as foodservice can be- many accounts are day programs, so staff goes home at three in the afternoon. Plenty of opportunity for advancement- rapid growth.
Cons
Independent operation can lead to a feeling of being on an island. Entrepreneurial spirit a must, but you must also be willing to be accountable to corporate and to your school.
