      Go Woke With Them or Go Broke

      Pros

      Until October/November of this year, I would have listed several pros. But FM has since gone woke & become a completely different place.

      Cons

      They have implemented a policy of get vaccinated or be terminated. With very little notice, no regard for length of service, & with zero transparency. They used to be a company that cared about their employees. Now, it’s shut up, take the shot, & give a third party your medical info. They have proved to be complete & utter hypocrites whose actions violate their stated values.

      -Benefits are decent -Global footprint

      Cons

      -No remote work option -Headquarters in a terrible location that isn’t attractive to top talent. -Engineers > everyone else -Slow to diversify. Minimal women in senior leadership positions.

      Great benefits, fair (not great) pay, good culture, limited opportunities for advancement

      Pros

      The company has very good employee retention thanks largely to a generous benefits package and welcoming, inclusive corporate culture with a good work-life balance.

      Cons

      If you are not an engineer and you do not live in New England (near the corporate offices), opportunities for advancement can be pretty limited, which means that while they may do a decent job of keeping people around, a lot of them will struggle to break out of their initial compensation bracket.
