Pros

Not much. There is not many great things to say about this company.

Cons

This company is bad. They do not care about their people, and fired several this year for not getting vaccinated. They do not have a good work from home program, and their pay is 20-40% less than anyone in the same industry. They also threaten their employees with "If you leave, you'll never be allowed to come back", rather than paying their talent to stay. If you're looking at a job here, then stay away! There's better opportunity elsewhere.

Pros

Benefits, pay is okay, nothing really else

Cons

Work/life balance has gotten worse and worse over the last couple years. Working from home means more access to their employees at anytime during the day. Respect for working hours is diminishing. All while the company "promotes" taking mental health days and "advocates" for your overall well-being. We're encouraged to take off, but that means coming back to an even heavier workload. You can never get a straight answer from upper management. It's always "it depends," "this is tentative to change," etc. Things change daily and new systems are contantly added to make things more effecient, but ends up doing the opposite and is just additional work. Work has never been so inefficient, cumbersome, and with little training. Many employees quit without the company adding any new hires for certain positions until there's a clear training in place. Meanwhile exisiting employees are expected to pick up the extra work and still meet objectives. Many internal employees that I spoke to feel the same, yet all we here is how great everything is working. It's beyond frustrating and unmotivating.

Thank you for your review. As a company, we highly value work/life balance and your experience is concerning because it’s important for our employees to have balanced lives. Please know that it’s an area we’re very much focused on.

Resistant to Change

Pros

Benefits, schedule, kind co-workers, newer offices.

Cons

There is more work than ever and no additional head count. The pay is also low. FM forced employees back into the office with a hybrid schedule and vaccine mandate with no option to mask/test. The company does not seem to care that most employees do not wish to be back in the office. They've become vague about the "future of work" and pushed back the release of additional information about possible work schedules (WFH or fully remote etc) for 3 quarters now. They will lose top talent due to their inflexibility on fully remote working.

Thank you for your feedback. As a mature company, we take change seriously and agree there is always opportunity for improvement. We are actively looking at many of our practices to ensure that we align with expectations in the marketplace for clients and employees while keeping a close eye on what has made FM Global a great place to work for the past 185 years.
