      Pros

      Work-life balance, amazing benefits, job security

      Cons

      There is nowhere to go here. I have been with the company for more than 10 years, taking on multiple roles, tasks, projects, etc. and have had no support in career development. It is somewhat of a gilded cage here, great benefits, etc., but no opportunity for growth, especially if you start out in an admin position, or, quite frankly, are a woman. This is definitely an old school company with old school values, some work, some don't.

      Pros

      Leader of the industry, set the bar in terms of engineering. Training is outstanding. Work-life balance is dependent on your manager. Company outlook is tremendous.

      Cons

      Advancement is glacial, and often political. Crushing your metrics, and having excellent intangibles, does not guarantee anything other than a pat on the head. Likewise, the work is extremely independent, and peers can skate by for years producing nothing but steaming piles – only to hand over a project/location full of landmines (with no major penalties from management other than a stern finger wag).

      Great working environment, schedules and amazing benefits.

      Cons

      Very secretive and a lack of communication between employees as well as between management. Getting in or advancing in the company tends to be more about who you know rather than what you know.
