Cons
You are just a number. Lower on the pay scale within the industry. Decreased promoting from within. Diversity in the workplace is great! However, when a company begins to track diversity in the workplace, set diversity goals while allowing the hiring/promoting process to be heavily influenced by the diversity goals, that company begins to put the wrong people in the wrong positions to make the wrong decisions. (Especially for an engineering-based company which is statistically is made up of a pool of 60-70% white male). I fully support diversity and inclusion in the workplace, but I don't want it stuffed down my throat and expect senior leadership to practice what they preach. Warning to any white male. Great location for any minority or women (fast track).
