Pros
FM is a very stable company and this is especially appealing when there is uncertainty in the economy. FM offers a pension, which is unique for a private company, and this is in addition to a 401k match. If you spend many years here, you will have a very secure retirement set up for you. There are a lot of growth opportunities, especially for those that are willing to relocate. The benefits are good and the pay is fair. You could make more if you move to a broker or possibly the competition, but you lose out on the pension (which is admittedly hard to quantify in terms of salary). There is great work life balance in the company, some will work many hours, but that is mainly by their choice.
Cons
There are not as many career opportunities for you if you're not willing to relocate. There is very limited flexibility with hybrid working arrangements.
