Chronic short staffing and budget cuts by management without bedside experience has created a stressful and unsafe environment. Your license is on the line whenever you go to work. High acuity patients, lack of ancillary staff and management that thinks it's ok to continue to do more with less leaves one stressed from the second they walk in until the shift is over (and you've been charting for an extra hour and a half.) Maybe those HCAHPS scores would come up if pay was appropriate and we could staff the units.

Pay was a good start but did not get regular raises.
