Pros

Good benefits and PTO, nothing else

Cons

If you are an experienced CD, look out, many of the Portfolio managers have egos that don't allow them to appreciate your experience, rather they get offended. Example, one PM from the state of Washington was not knowledgeable about the California overtime laws and was offended when I brought it up and she had the audacity to question my integrity. Eventually I had to get HR involved. I have since left the company and I was not paid for a year of overtime, so I was forced to get a lawyer involved and now I have a pending lawsuit for a myriad of offenses by this very disorganized company. The PM that I was referring to left the company when I was still there and changed her name. Probably a good idea since her incompetence was overwhelming.

Pros

Flexible schedule and paid holidays

Cons

I would like to think my experience would’ve been better but it was subpar. I also had the opportunity to work at several different properties and each of them were very disappointing. Not in the budget to take care of employees and paying residents. Low pay with heavy work load. No employee housing. Conflict of interest. Favoritism. Your higher ups don’t acknowledge you, and then they still expect you to show up for them when they need you. Not following up with promises.

Pros

The company is large and if you are not happy at one property there are always openings to move elsewhere. The company continues to acquire new buildings however they can not seem to keep them properly staffed.

Cons

Benefit packages are horrible. They offer a 401k but the company does not match anything which is pretty disheartening considering their H.E.A.R.T Motto. Insurance for your family is outrageous. You have to give notice to get a raise, even if you work hard they will take advantage of what they can and they do not offer pay increases. All in all this is not a place you can build a retirement, and get acknowledged with regular increases. Every property is understaffed and barely managing. The workers are stretched thin, all the while the Portfolio Managers lie to the owners and tell them all is well, when it really is not behind the scenes. I am looking to leave this company soon as there is more that I dislike about the conditions and the benefits.
