Good Heart, but no organization

Pros

Lots of opportunity to work with lots of different clients and types of assets. Many employees are very dedicated and loyal to the company. Vacation accrual starts at 3 weeks. Great health insurance.

Cons

Lots of paper pushing and redundancy. Unprofessional and sometimes crude environment. Very gossipy and lots of clicks. Mostly managers, not leaders. Competency in various rolls is minimal compared to other companies. Very disorganized and no one ever knows what’s going on. They will take ANYONE on as a client leaving them with lots of slum lords and difficult to work with clients. No 401k match.

All polish no substance

Pros

Apparently an endless amount of money

Cons

Money which they waste by having a revolving door employment. They have a lot of difficulty retaining employees because they show so much responsibility into their laps on hire and do not provide them with the tools they need to succeed. I work in an office that STILL does not have a working phone despite pleas. Communication seems to be one way and the upper part of the company definitely is more concerned with image than they are with substance. They blow an incredible amount of money hiring on contractors instead of raising their pay rate just a few dollars on average. I even work at a property where I find out news about what's going on with the property from outside the organization through the press. Only after I inquire about something do I find out. The CEO bombards us with his religion on a daily basis.

Women in leadership may fool you.

"I would like to share my honest experience working at FPI during my ten-year tenure. The compensation provided was comparatively lower, supplemented by an apartment. On-site managers were expected to be available around the clock, without any designated off-hours. Unfortunately, retirement plans or a 401(k) match were not offered. Additionally, it came to my attention that there was a gender disparity in wages, with female employees being paid less than their male counterparts for the same positions. The workload imposed on employees was excessively burdensome, often exceeding reasonable and ethical expectations set by the company's owners. Prior to an owner visit, our regional manager advised our group of managers not to initiate any conversations unless spoken to, stifling employee voices. It became evident that the well-being of employees, as well as the residents and surrounding communities, was not a priority for FPI, evident in the imposition of 10% rent increases that compelled residents to relocate, adversely impacting communities. Despite my years of loyal service, with limited vacation and sick days taken, I made the difficult decision to resign due to health concerns. Unfortunately, my departure led to a designation of being non-rehireable. It is essential to exercise caution when considering employment with this company, as they seem to prioritize profit over the well-being of their employees."
