My experience was tragic

Pros

Decent medical benefits , steady paycheck and having a job.

Cons

Underpaid according to regional averages, NO SUPPORT from upper management, NO Diversity in upper management, no advancement opportunities. It is a good ole boy network if I ever seen one. The PM will throw their employees under the bus in a heartbeat to kiss the butt of the owners/investors. In this company it really boils down to who you know. Hard work and dedication will get you nowhere.

Pros

Some of the accounting team and other community managers were very pleasant

Cons

Overwhelming demands, poor time management, little to no training until you have already been working for them for a while, and many of the people in upper management have absolutely no regard for you as a human being- you are just a number and they practically tell you every day in their actions and words. My supervisor in this company was so awful that she frequently yelled, screamed, bullied and intimidated people into getting her way. In addition, when I complained to HR over several issues including the fact that she called and text me when I was in my grandmother's funeral to yell at me for not letting me know that an employee had to leave an hour early from work , they did nothing. I have worked in property management for 17 years for several different companies and after this experience decided I was done. Do yourself a favor and run -don't walk- if you get an opportunity to work for this company!

Pros

Near my residence, short drive

Cons

Employees are openly "thrown under the bus" by Property Managers/Community Directors who have but one goal, to misdirect their leadership from their inept abilities. No smoking property, just allow smoking to occur, then say "it's not my fault." Employees attacked by residents, FPI does nothing, let employee pay to get a restraining order. Per the Portfolio Manager, that is a civil matter, company has no interest in being a part of. Employees pay out hundreds of dollars for materials not available from FPI parts houses, employees pay out for pay as you go company cell phones, see no money ever paid back. FPI can't even do an internal investigation, and provide a timely reply, which will be, "we did nothing wrong." Coverup, until someone gets seriously hurt, then again, "its not FPI's fault.' I wouldn't even bother taking the time to state all this, except they are begging employees to anonymously post glowing reviews. Real leadership would know why they are NOT getting those "unsolicited" , glowing reports, and fix what is broken.
