Pros

As an employee of FSA for over 8 years, I can honestly say that FSA is the best company I have worked for in my over 40 years of employment. I am not alone. I consistently receive positive communication from FSA employees in the field regarding their satisfaction with FSA. FSA is very employee oriented and tries to always consider what is in the best interest of the employees. They offer a great benefit package and the 401k plan is the best I have ever had. They also offer a lot of training opportunities and help with tuition. This is not your typical company. The open door policy is wonderful. I can at any time walk into the office of any manager and discuss ideas, concerns, suggestions etc and be listened to and on many occasions my ideas have been implemented! This company truly listens and cares about employees. Since there are many employees in the field, they are constantly trying to find ways to keep employees all over the US involved and informed. This includes news letters, emails, etc and recently all employees were given FSA golf shirts in appreciation of their hard work. FSA is a wonderful company to work for, just ask a current employee.

Pros

Dependable regular work, no overtime no weekends or nights. Low stress, and kind colleagues. No travel, except a one time training trip to DC. It can be exciting and interesting, depending on how involved you get.

Cons

No opportunity for advancement, once you get the one raise you are eligible for you won't get another. Others who have been there for over 10 years haven't received a raise. Doesn't inspire you to work harder. Your salary is tied to the dept of labor rates so if those don't change, your salary doesn't change. Can be boring and inflexible with time. Not generous with time off either.
