Pros

Not a difficult job.

Cons

No growth. You get paid the same amount no matter how many years you've been there.

Pros

Good opportunity to get a leg in for future government work, or perhaps into a federal agency. Working in the field has its benefits, like flexibility and minimal supervision. My experience at FSA was positive and I do not regret working there at all. I met great people and obtained valuable experience to add to my resume. I highly recommend for those looking to transition into the government.

Cons

Not many opportunities for growth or development, leadership positions are all centralized at the headquarters, this gives employees in the field, minimal opportunity for promotions unless they are willing to relocate. raises are only given to accommodate the cost of living expenses and inflation. Yet it does not do much to help, contract position that is at the mercy of the customer. I cannot recommend FSA as a lifelong career choice if anything this is a stepping stone towards a potential government assignment.

Pros

I have recently applied to work for FSA as a Senior Financial Analyst / Investigator and have not yet actually started the position, though wanted to reflect my experiences with the hiring phase. I have had an exceptionally positive experience with the Talent Acquisition Manager who provided me with ample information on the position along with handling my various interviews and contingent offer documentation. After the contingent offer was provided to me, a 7 or 10-year background check is required, therefore, the Assistant Security Manager/AFSO was also very helpful with assisting me as needed. Thus, my experiences with the hiring phase throughout the entire process have been very positive, informative, and professional!

Cons

The hiring process is a very long process. For me, the hiring process started in January and it's now the third week of March with my start date still unknown.

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide your feedback. We are pleased to hear that you had a positive experience with our hiring process. We recognize that the process post offer can be lengthy, and appreciate your patience as the Government processes you for security access to their facility. While the facility access process is out of our control, our Security department closely monitors the process, and will pro-actively reach out to the Government on a regular basis to minimize any possible hold ups. We look forward to you joining the team. Do not hesitate to contact us directly if you have any questions.
