Pros

Decent benefits. Your experience will be determined entirely by the office you're assigned to and your FSA Supervisor in the office (if you have one).

Cons

No upward mobility. All yearly pay increases are controlled by the Department of Labor; there hasn't been an increase in nearly four years.

Pros

Stable employment, interesting work, opportunity to work with federal law enforcement, not high stress, no take-home work, good work-life balance, health/dental/vision insurance.

Cons

No opporotunity for advancement, only one training session offered, no incentive for employees to improve or work harder, there can be a lot of down time and boredom, some management problems with employer not being responsive or advocating for contractors, in the event of an office closure due to weather there isn't enough money to pay employees. No annual bonus, no raises.
