Pros

Relaxed working environment (although will depend on the team and projects). Pay is reasonable/good for roughly 2/3rds of employees, pay is poor for the rest. Employees are adequately resourced to do their jobs.

Cons

Most senior posts have been filled by those who arrived when the company was its in ascendency, so much of the management is poor. Compensation review process is subjective and will depend on as much on the team that you work for and your relationship with your direct line manager (and his relationship with his manager) as your own concrete contributions. A lack of transparency across the board. Internal documentation is poor at best, non-existent just as often.

Fantastic Work-Life Balance

Pros

Great environment, sweet benefits, and enjoyable work. Everyone has a lot of respect for work-life balance and the company tries hard to make the happiest employees they can. Lots of room for upward growth; almost everyone upper management started out as an engineer or other entry level position. FactSet wants you to stay for a long time.

Cons

Depending on what you do, you are likely going to be exposed to a lot of business/finance world. If you don't have any interest in that field, you may get a little bored.

Pros

If you are a college grad there are a lot of employees your own age and experience level. Folks there know how to have fun and it's a fun plac eto transition out of the college life

Cons

If you are a college grad there are a lot of managers your own age and experience level. Office politics are significant. While not stereotyping everyone, there is a definite sense that folks are there for their own good and team work is typically a barter of political capital rather than an immerse, fun experience
