Pros

A very good work environment

Cons

Salary is very low, not enough to live in Barcelona. In general managers don't have any previous experience of managing a team

Pros

Most of the colleagues are very helpful and swiftly lend you a hand when needed.

Cons

All the developers are being transferred to a variable payment scheme that actually decreases their earnings. Now you are getting paid based on how many sales the product does during the month. Unless you achieve at least 70% of the forecasted goal you won't get any variable and the fixed salary base has been reduced. This means you will earn less if goals are not achieved. This has two immediate consequences: - Everybody is focusing on the short term. You need to release new features no matter the cost. - Mid/Long term tasks are discarded. Nobody wants to work on tasks that don't have an impact on the bonus even if this will mean releasing low quality code.

Pros

Benefits (gym, subsidized lunch, company events and parties) Fast growth opportunities Technology used Nice people Diversity and inclusion efforts (doesn't apply to management)

Cons

Salary (Sales and CX teams are underpaid and overworked) Change management (abrupt organizational changes that do not take into account people's salaries, processes and managers/reports structure) Work environment/crazy pressure (people that become team leads have no real support or guidance and in most teams they are pushed to accept conditions that are not competitive, with the promise that they'll get a raise in X months' time) Career path (there is no real plan for growing as an individual contributor: teams are becoming silos and it is no longer allowed to move from one to the other .The only growth possible is in "seniority", but you won't have any learning path or support, or to grow as a team lead)
