Pros

Only pro to this company is you are guaranteed to get hired

Cons

20-30+ open shifts daily which is a serious issue when you only run about 24 ambulances total. Almost impossible for them to retain employees so very few employees know what they are doing. Absolute worst dispatchers of any company I have ever dealt with being in this industry for a long time. Nearly impossible to get a day off. PTO becomes a method to just get payed for calling out sick because your PTO request will inevitably be denied. You will be held over at least twice per week due to poor dispatching and lack of employees. You will run nothing but bls IFTs regardless of what type of shift you work. Management couldn't care less about employees. You are simply a pawn to make their contracted call times. You will be running cabulance calls regardless of what type of shift you are on. Again due to poor staffing. The list could honestly go on forever. This is the absolute worst ambulance company I have ever encountered. I would highly advise you to seek employment anywhere else including non ems jobs.

Pros

Great work environment, lots of highly trained and skilled professionals at all levels of management and field operations, overall highly professional and caring company with a great reputation in the medical community in the Bay Area

Cons

Can be desperate for coverage of some shifts, hires way too many part timers, tends to be cheap when it comes to supplies and maintenance on critical equipment (vehicles mostly), a dollar more than minimum wage for EMTs, some decisions based more on money than on anything else
