Pros

911 experience, better-than-average equipment, decent leadership, immediately vested in 401k with 6% match

Cons

MINIMUM WAGE, some fire crews are hard to work with (others are great), scheduling is not very flexible (I was there over a year and there was only one shift bid the entire time)

Pros

None really, you get run through until you fulfill your pt hours or 911 hours then you leave.

Cons

No scheduling freedom, large communication distance between middle management and EMT’s. And Uber drivers literally make more than us and they didn’t have to pay near 2000 dollars to become certified and trained.
