Pros

Farnsworth has the combined atmosphere of a small firm, where everyone is really great friends with eachother, and a larger firm, where lunches are catered, and the budget for office supplies is seemingly endless. Towards the end of my time with FW, I was friends with principles, managers, and everyone else. Farnsworth is the type of organization where people in positions of power, like the principles, or even the CEO, are not mythical beings to be feared, but awesome people you will befriend.

Cons

The disconnect between departments within the organization causes a LOT of stress/poor communication for admins.

Pros

Amazing employees make every day worth going. Opportunities for collaboration and growth if you have the right manager and department.

Cons

Lack of trust in HR team due to repeated let-downs when efforts to resolve issues are not successful. Seeking HR is futile as nothing comes from reporting cases of disruptive behavior or inappropriate verbal/physical gestures from other employees. Underwhelming health program and subsequent carelessness from employees, largely due to poor judgment from corporate on when and how to present the information. Overkill on safety and employees are burnt out on procedures that are time consuming so employees complete them as fast as possible and they are ineffective such as pre-visit safety form. Ancient printers and plotters that are kept because they still work, rather than invest in machines that are better/faster because the current ones still work. Why wait until things break to replace them? Let us be more efficient.

Pros

At Farnsworth group, there is flexibility, a friendly work environment, sufficient training opportunities, limited opportunities for overtime compensation, and supportive leadership.

Cons

Salaries are at the low end of salary range and there is limited room for advancement. Promotions are based only on time with company and not performance.
