Pros
The only positive side I experienced working at Fashion Nova was most of my team members. I encountered some of the most adaptable and hard working team members in my department. People who had the potential to create so much more and had such energy and will to do great in a company. Unfortunately, these great people were rarely recognized.
Cons
- The biggest con is the CEO. I have never met such a micromanaging, disrespectful executive in my life. He is known for cursing out employees, interrogating his social media team on their work, berating people on insignificant details. Most of the members of my team experienced constant anxiety because of the negative environment that was created trying to please him. - Work environment is almost unbearable. - You will be severely underpaid. Even if you have a college degree and previous experience. - High turnover rate due to negative work environment. You will make friends and quickly see them resign and leave to better places. - Culture of dishonesty is common at Fashion Nova. It is common practice to lie to customers, employees, and influencers. - People working at Fashion Nova can rarely expect any room for growth. If you are just starting out, you are likely to stay right there in your spot. If you want to branch out and try on a new role or take on an exciting responsibility, the bait will be dangled in front of you but it will be the rarest occasion if a manager allows you to shine or do something new.
