Pros

- The starting pay out of college is great. - Meaningful work (helping modernize state's outdated systems) - Yearly annual trip that covers you and your family (long-time girlfriend or spouse, children) and you can bring a nanny at a low cost. In 2024, they went to Cancun, and in 2023, they went to Las Vegas. - Probably the best health insurance in the industry and it is completely employer-paid, meaning 100% free for you and your family.

Cons

There's a lot... - WLB is pretty rough (especially during rollouts), I worked ~70-80 hours a week at times. - Culture is just plain horrible - big drinking culture and HQ is in their own world compared to state sites - Site dependent experiences (some sites are way better than others) - The team that handles your move is pretty bad/not reliable - No remote opportunities (HQ is hybrid as well as other sites, dependent on PM) - Annual bonuses are VERY low compared to the industry (~1% per yr) - Low-code/no-code environment so little to 0 growth for your career. All code is in C# and horrible code practices (ggSmd) - They will move you where the business needs, not where you want/would like to go - Low PTO (10 days accrue, you can get 5 days more with OT) - Very boring work.. would dread going in everyday. I would avoid this company at all costs. I used it simply as a stepping stone to get into another job. However, my lead was horrible to work with (super rude) and got away with it due to their tenure/title here. WLB was horrible and I would be on-call 24/7 with no compensation, compared to ICs that are not on-call and we receive the same salary.

Pros

- Great starting pay for new graduates - Yearly company retreat and they invite your family (keeps the union away) - Consulting experience

Cons

List here goes on, let's start with the most offensive to me personally. The company hired "accidentally" an extra 500+ employees right before announcing 4 days back in office (spoiler alert 5 days incoming] and adjustments to their salary package. Shady business practices all around the place, they had the audacity to claim it doesn't make them more money by capping overtime, they charge the client for each hour of overtime. You want a raise well you didn't move, so no raise this year. Explain again how that doesn't save the company money? Every project manager I talked to said they have never seen someone get let go or it was an extreme rarity. I suppose my experience was an anomaly and the 10 other FASTies I worked with that were let go. Maybe it has to do with silent mass layoffs, but again this is just my experience. Want to give your coworkers great reviews because you know they are awesome at what they do? Well don't bother the project manager filters it, so if the IC doesn't move they get the company average score of below par. The only review that matters is average and negative reviews unless you are an architect. This company has mastered their ability of malicious compliance. Example of which is their 401k matching instead of profit sharing another their location stability point system. Each and every consultant is treated as if they are replaceable. Want to be well respected in the industry, this is not the place to be. They will drop you faster than you can say...

Pros

Pay Benefits Annual Meeting abroad or major city Accepts OPT Students

Cons

Toxic culture where higher ups get more benefits over anyone. Partners are considered as the highest in hierarchy. Homophibic and racist workplace if assigned in crappy states but HQ is very diverse and accepting so if you land in conservative state like Alabama then you are screwed. High turn over cause they burn you with coding for 6 months and then you are only doing research. Job itself is very boring and repetitive so you learn same thing that is proprietery.
