Pros

Good pay, starting was 70k out of college. Great benefits, FAST gives you full medical coverage, life insurance, and pays your premium. Paid overtime, good vacation, and travel opportunities.

Cons

For team building our project manager bought over everyone 10 rounds of shots. If you can't hold your liquor or tell your boss no, reconsider. You will work 8-5 with overtime. VB is the main coding language.

+ I've had the privilege of working with some of the most amazing coworkers I've ever had. + Employees are given the opportunity to do meaningful work, even from day 1. + Fast provides great pay, including paid overtime. + They also provide fantastic benefits - health/vision/dental/life insurance, annual performance-based bonus, etc + Relocation - you get an opportunity to live in places you would otherwise probably never get a chance to experience. Relocation also allows you to connect more with the people you work with on the client site. Personally, I find relocation to be better than the alternative as seen in other companies in the IT industry in which you live in once place and have to fly out to a project site every week. + Management seems to be actively looking for ways to make working here even better.

Cons

- Relocation. While I do think of it as a pro overall, relocation can definitely be difficult, and you can be asked to move on short notice. Fast really does make this easier, though, by paying relocation costs and providing you with a company that oversees all the logistics of planning your move. On top of that, they also provide you with a moving stipend to help cover additional costs that are not directly covered.

With regard to relocation, it can be challenging and we strive to make this process as seamless as possible for each employee and their families. In response to your comment about getting short notice before departure, this should be more the exception than the rule. New hires receive their first assignment about a month before they start so they can be best matched with current client needs. Subsequent moves generally allow more time to prepare. Still, as consultants, we are subject to the actions of our clients. Short turnaround times on relocation are often due to the short notice given to FAST by its clients. To help mitigate some of the challenges of relocation, FAST connects you with our relocations team to handle you move from start to finish. You mentioned the relocation stipend above and this is something given to employees to assist with the miscellaneous expenses that you incur with a move (i.e. breaking a lease, getting a new driver’s license, setting up utilities etc.) Thanks again for your feedback and your patience. As always, we welcome any ideas that will further improve the relocation process.
