The most obvious reason is that the pay is better than anywhere I have looked. This includes some pretty great benefits. Now that that is out of the way, the real reasons Fast is an amazing company. The employees are all passionate and fun to be around. The work is interesting and challenging. You are never stuck doing the same thing over and over. Lots of room for growth. Promotions are based on skill and potential, not seniority. Ability to work around the country

Cons

Very steep learning curve that you can't prepare for because a large part of the job is proprietary software. Can be relocated at short notice to not the best of cities.

Pros

A versatile flat organization that Cares for its Employees. Great compensation and benefits and (world) travel is part of the lifestyle. The opportunities at FAST are as vast as your ambition. It is hard to find an organization that takes such steps to facilitate value their employees.

Cons

Some people let the travel get them down. As an implementation Consultant you will likely move locations every 2-5 years. However, my family and I look at it as a opportunity to travel and see the world as part of my job.

Pros

Fast is a growing company, however they maintain a small company feel. You are given the chance almost immediately to make an impact and be working on something worth while. The companies product, Gentax, has a lot of built in tools for developers that make our job easier. At the same time, the software has so many parts to it and is always being grown and improved on that there is always something new to learn and be engaged in.

Cons

Short notice on relocation can be an issue for some, however it never has been for myself. A lot is expected from you when it comes time to rollout the product however I don't feel it is any worse than could be expected elsewhere.
