We are well compensated through salary, overtime pay, health and dental insurance, and Fast events. The majority of my coworkers have been good people and knowledgeable developers. The partners are hands-on with development and the direction of the company. Knowledge and experience are worth more than time employed with the company. The flat organizational structure and complexity of the application and business rules mean you'll be listened to when discussing implementations or providing advice. It feels great to know that coworkers and even team leads value your contributions. It's hard to be an expert in the software because the code base is massive, but Fast provides great tools for developing that make most of these components easy to understand once you dig in. Developing and configuring are usually straightforward so we can implement solutions quickly and without many issues. The work is not meaningless and we are able to make a huge impact in our clients' lives and their way of working. We are given a lot of responsibility implementing the processes of the business into our software. Seeing something you've developed being used in a production environment is very rewarding. There are always new opportunities popping up. We have a great success record and more agencies are looking to implement a Fast solution. Moving around is a huge plus because you get to work with new people and tackle new problems.

Fast places a lot of trust in the hands of its employees, and very early on. Each employee allowed to complete his/her work without micro-managing or direct intervention. There is an unofficial 30-minute rule, though. If you cannot solve a problem within 30 minutes, stop wasting time and ask for help. When help or guidance is needed, the more-senior employees (even the partners) are readily accessible and always willing. Fast has done a great job creating a team attitude, too. Fast throws one or two social events, with significant others invited, each month. The easy-going work environment is great for motivated, task-oriented people.
