Pros

You're able to encounter new and unique projects every day. Accounts are diverse . You have the freedom to manage your accounts.

Cons

Your experience will only be as good as your management. Pay is sub par. Majority of your jobs are sub contracted so you have to rely on quality contractors. They do not allow you to disclose that the work is sub contracted so if it's a great product the project will be great but if the product is sub par you have to constantly scrounge up excuses and ways you plan to repair the damage.

Pros

Work flow you were always busy rarely ever bored. The pay was decent for graphic designer position. Rarely had to stay passed 5:00 pm Laid back environment for the most part, unless they start panicking about jobs that are due. Easy work and easy money once you get accustomed to the flow You got Sales commission on the jobs you finished, usually around 100-200 extra a month. Seemed like a lot until you saw the salesmen making 500-600. When you're really doing all the work. (Could be Pro & Con) Very understand with your family if you have events/sudden problems. You can call ahead of time and they will work with you. Interview's were entertaining and engaging. Some customers are CRAZY, while other's leave great reviews and even leave gifts off for you if you do go over and beyond. Rare but it does happen, the best part about the job is a customer coming in for a regular poster. But you decide to spend a little extra time and get creative on it. They 85% of the time love it.

Cons

Not challenging, pretty much did the same work everyday Zero room for creativity They made racist jokes every now and again, can't work there if you're sensitive. Got blamed for a lot of things that I myself couldn't have known and that production should've have caught. Did a lot of free work because manager wanted to treat customers (Owner which didn't know about) Poorly trained and unorganized, you learn a lot on the fly. That they expect you to already know (that doesn't pertain to the graphic design part) Not a lot of room for growth here, if you're here for graphic design that's pretty much all you'll ever be. You got incentive based checks if your store hits goal, but most the time our Sales man would make mistakes so much that month that the owner(s) would deduct their mistakes from the entire stores bonus checks. So you wouldn't get it anyway. But hey you hit store goals and broke records right? RIGHT! DO NOT WORK HERE IF YOU CAN'T TAKE YOUR MANAGER MICROMANAGING AND WATCHING YOU WORK OVER YOUR SHOULDERS. Constantly feeling like you're being tugged in two different directions between production and your store's management. Both want the same results but can't seem to figure out the path they want YOU to take to get there. So when you do it and one side doesn't like how you do it, it's a problem and it comes back directly on you. Voice your opinion on things if you don't like how it's going because it'll end up being your fault anyway. Communication is the #1 thing lacking here.

Pros

Everyday is something different and there is always a way to learn new trends in the market place. Most of the team is great to work with

Cons

Owner is not good at communication with his employees. The pay is average, and there is no room to grow.
