I'd think twice before signing that dotted line!

Pros

The production staff was stellar as well as the Outside Sales Rep.

Cons

The owners (husband and wife team) fight frequently, in front of the staff. That was red flag #1 I noticed a week into my role. I was told during my interview that my sales goal was a certain amount only to find out a month into the job that the goal was actually $10k more a month than originally talked about, which is an unattainable goal with the "tools" they provide. I said that I am not ok with cold calling but that's what they expect you to do. "Call the clients in our system that haven't done business with us in a while and see if they need anything." That's a cold call! I mentioned during my interview that insurance was of up most importance to me, even more so than my pay. I was told they went with a higher deductible to get "affordable" monthly premiums only to learn my monthly premium would be over $600/mo, which is $200 more a month than anyone else in the franchise is paying. When trying to speak to an owner about all of my concerns, I was talked down to and lied to. I'm just encouraging employees to beware of this franchise!! Make sure that you get your comp package in black and white BEFORE your 1st day!! Shame on me for not doing that, I had too much trust in these people.

Pros

Knowledge, fun creating for customers, professional signs, networking

Cons

My experience was completely opposite of what was explained during the interview. They promised training with someone who had been in the field a very long time and that was minimal. I wouldn't be able to ask for questions without attitudes or other employees freaking out. The accounts were divided in justly. They basically set me up for failure from the begging and then said I wasn't learning fast enough. They agreed to hire me without experience and train me but they had little patience and there was no formal training. It is a complex business and lots to learn. They expe Ted me to learn years of knowledge in just a couple of months. I was thrown into the position and had to figure my way through. I made them increase sales my first month and hot my goal and I still was not good enough for them. Many occasions I overhead many in appropriate conversations held by the 2 owners. They take advantage of there employees and just see dollar bills above your face. Prices are tweaked and customers overcharged. The owners plotted against me and the final altercation forced me to leave because of a hostile work environment. They discriminated my beliefs and mental health capacity. The owners started yelling and I felt threatened so I was forced to resign. No professionalism, zero ethics towards employees and customers. Really opened my eyes to how money can tranform people and blind them with errogance.
