Pros

Relaxed dress code, excellent, up-to-date equipment and workstations. I never have to be concerned with asking for a hardware of software upgrade, the owner is always willing to invest in his business in that way. Schedule has always been flexible to allow for family emergencies and events.

Cons

Poor management and leadership. Shows of nepotism and sexism are a daily occurrence from both management and the owner. Too many family members working for the company. Cameras in the workplace used to spy on employees, creating an atmosphere of distrust and low employee morale. Compensation is not competitive.

Standard office environment perks, including stable hours, paid national holidays, and the occasional free lunch. Storewide bonuses for reaching sales goals.

Cons

No benifits, no direct deposit or retirement planning. No HR department or employee enrichment programs. Training is sparatic. Environment is highly reactionary and can be stressful. No advancement or career path.

Pros

I learned tons about sign making and graphic design. Most of my coworkers were great, and it was a fun environment. Pay was pretty good.

Cons

The owner only cared about making money and not about developing a cohesive sales force. We were always reminded about daily minimums and how we performed compared to other locations. Lots of turnover. No room for growth.
