Pros

Best reason for working here is helping individuals meet their educational goals and find a career. As faculty you manage your own schedule and not tied to a 5 - 9 job.

Cons

It is a public institution therefore everyone is paid the same no matter the actual job performance. If seeking a safe and secure position with little career progression then it is definitely worth you time in pursuing.

Pros

The few employees who are truly good at their jobs and who are dedicated employees are wonderful and supportive of one another.

Cons

The good employees get more work dumped on them and then get overburdened to pick up slack of the many who aren't dedicated. Then, the slackers are rewarded for poor behavior and their lack of work. Then, if anything is said or reported, then the messenger gets reprimanded. As state employees, the raises are non-existent and equally distributed to those who work and those who don't.

Pros

Beautiful campus to work on daily. Great co-workers to work around. Great technical support on campus. They attempt to take the student from where they are to where they want to go. Great ideal.

Cons

Upper level administration needs leadership training beyond themselves. They think they can train themselves on how to be better leaders. They believe they have arrived. There is no help for the grieving employees because all the leadership taught together for ten plus years and now they are leaders together. Toxic environment simply because of poor leadership, top down.
