Cons
They hire anyone that will pass a background check, so most of the dock workers are terrible. No one is held accountable for their work, so freight is constantly mis-loaded and damaged. As a city driver, 3 out of 5 days a week I didn’t have a pallet jack to work with my freight. Because they pay a decent hourly wage, they expect you to grin and bare absolutely anything. Overall, the terminal I was in had a very negative feel. In the year and 8 months I was there, I never came into any contact with the terminal manager.
