Pros

The team-like environment. People stick together to succeed as one or fail together. The company empowers its team members to do what is right without having an over interfering corporate.

Cons

The continuous changes that often return to the way things were. The lack of ability to voice feedback to the upper management. The removal of the climate surveys. Poor wages for understaffing/low payroll and corporate constantly asking to do more with less.

Pros

You learn a lot of cool things about printing and meet lots of people. Pay is good for a student in college (above minimum wage). Day and night shifts are available.

Cons

Pay is not good for someone with a family or trying to move out on their own. You will still be considered full time while only getting 32 hours a week. They are constantly cutting hours (especially during the summer). The people I work with have been there for years and many are not very knowledgeable about how to conduct day to day duties. Scheduling is unfair to me (never receive a weekend off & have to use your vacation days if you need to). Training SUCKS. You definitely get thrown to the wolves and current team members are supposed to show you the ropes but most of them either have stinky attitudes, too busy, and/or do not know much. Bonuses SUCK! You only get compensated if you sell the Product of the Month. An example would be: For every 3 pens you sell you receive $1 on your paycheck. Each store differs but my experience keeps me searching for a new job every opportunity I get.

Great for short-term

Pros

Diverse workplace, great for networking, and you get to learn skills with computers and other machines that will serve you better as your career progresses. Decent amount of vacation time for a retail environment.

Cons

The environment is very high stress and doesn't offer the most competitive pay for the fairly crazy 24-hour scheduled stores. There is little room for advancement on a local level, and the health benefits have been going up in cost over the past few years while the coverage has been decreasing. VERY profit oriented with few returns to the in-store employees.
