Pros

Good job security. Friendly coworkers. Good quarterly incentive bonus plan. Company paid uniforms. Company paid bbq's and a great year end party. Overtime.

Cons

Warm in the summer. It can get oily around the presses. Some weekend work in the summer. High precision parts.

Pros

The pay is great for starting. Vacation and health insurance is amazing, at least to me it was. It really came in handy when my kids were born. Once the press is running and you do what you have to do, you're literally just "on a break" in a sense, waiting to check your parts, watching the press run. The people I worked with were great. I literally wish I could have brought all the guys with me when I left.

Cons

It gets really hot, I mean REALLY HOT. This is a tool and die company, you're working press, tools, hot parts, oil and I mean a lot of oil. It gets hot. No AC at the time, I heard they will have ac soon. Lunch was really short, never understood why. Not everyone gets the same punishments. This one guy made about 2000 bad parts, got yelled at and a written warning. Another guy a month later made twice as much bad parts, was told no big deal. No, the first guy didnt have a past with bad parts, just the lead didn't like him and the 2nd guy has been there for "15+" years so they couldnt fire him blah blah.

Pros

It's a job so to speak!

Cons

Feintool is a Swiss company with many of the same views of other European companies. Make it shine and look pretty even if the product we make is "sub-par". I have been with Feintool over 10 years and I'm amazed how management seems to think or believe all employees are one happy family. Feintool Cincinnati is hitting record months in revenue/sales but NONE of this translates to more money to the people that make that happen, the HOURLY EMPLOYEES! The company just keeps salaries low and works the hourly 6 and 7 days a week with the attitude we won't pay you much but you can make up for it in overtime and being away from your family making us money so we (the investors and upper management) can "line" our pockets. New machinery and painted buildings does not a happy employee make. I'm not a union advocate but this seems like a good place for one except Feintool would shut the doors and take its profits back to the Alps and leave the hard working man with even less than what he has now.
