Great experience until is wasn't!
Pros
The pros were that I gained a lot of experience in the live entertainment industry. I learned a lot about the business and learned so much about graphics and how far it has come. Benefits were great and made some good friends along the way. I was always learning something new everyday and it was never boring.
Cons
In my department, management treated their employees unfairly with making promises and never keeping them. There was a high turn-over in various departments, but not mine. I was on the production end, and it definitely had a shop mentality where there was the "boy's club" and women took a back seat - the saying goes, "seen and not heard". I was there for 16 years and only got one promotion, which I got right before I left the company - too little, too late. I was the true Cinderella story, where other employees were bullies and management didn't do a thing about it. The manager got a slap on the wrist (figuratively speaking), but that was it and he still continued to turn a blind eye to bad behavior.
